What information/data is coming across?
When importing a company from BP desktop to BP Cloud, all employer and employees' details, pay elements, pension, payslips, customized reports come across to BrightPay Cloud.
Do I need to re-enter my Revenue Certificate and Nest credentials, where to go?
You need to upload your Revenue certificate to Brightpay Cloud. To do it, click on the Settings icon in top right corner, then go to Submissions section. Revenue certificate has to be uploaded per user.
Can Connect be used with the Cloud Version? No. Connect is only compatible with Brightpay Desktop.
There is an Employee Self Service Portal with BrightPay Cloud. Within the employee’s self-service portal, employees can access to retrieve their payslips view and amend their personal details and request annual leave.
This is a read only feature at the moment. It is on the roadmap to increase the functionality of this feature.
What is the max number of employees allowed?
BrightPay Cloud is currently restricted to 250 employees (including leavers) per employer.

How many users can I have in BP Cloud?
You can have unlimited users.
Will I see that another user is the company at the same time?
Yes, you will be able to see which user is in the company the same time as you and what they are working on.
Can I set up users and give them different permissions?
Yes, there are four types of users with different permissions in BP: owner, administrator, payroll processor, billing manager.
Can I not give other user access to my in-house payroll?
Yes, if you mark company as ‘admin only’ and you set up your user as payroll processor, the user won’t have access to the company. Owner and administrator can access all companies.
Can I process a payroll for some customers in BP desktop and another in BPOL? Yes, you can use both versions of the softwares.
Just remember that they are separate softwares and will not speak to one another.
Will my bank details all come across? Yes, the employer and employees bank details come across from BP desktop to BP Cloud.
Can more than one user work on the same employer file at the same time? Yes, one than more users can work on the one employer file at the same time.

Can I enable access to the ESS for my employees globally?
Yes, you can enable or disable access to the ESS globally for all employees or at the individual level. To do it, globally, go to Employer tab> Edit employer details> Self-service and tick the Enable box.
To individual employees, go to Employees tab> choose employee>Edit details> Employment, ensure the email address is entered and tick the box.
As soon as you have enabled Self Service access for employees, these employees now have permission to access to their Employee Self Service portal.
The option for sending invitation emails to welcome employees to use the ESS portal will be available soon.
Can I save the backup from BrightPay Cloud to the desktop?
There are no backups available as it is Cloud based software.
Are the journals available in BP Cloud?
Yes.
Are the journals mapping coming across from BP desktop to BP Cloud?
Yes, they are.
Can I import multiple employers from BP desktop to BP Cloud?
Yes, on the import screen, select the Shift key on your keyboard and select multiple employer files you wish to import.
If the employer data files are password protected, you will need to enter the passwords to import the companies.
When emailing payslips, do you use your own portal, or can I use Outlook?
It is our own system; you cannot use Outlook.
Will the desktop version still be updated?
The desktop version will always be kept up to date with Revenue’s guidelines
Can I set up two monthly schedules with different cut of dates?
Yes, you can set up 2 or more monthly schedules with different period endings.
Can I backup up and restore the data?
No, as it is cloud-based product, however we will be backing up your data.
