This release brings a significant new feature alongside a large number of improvements to the Client Portal, onboarding, Employee Self Service, and payroll processing — including Ireland-specific fixes for PRSI class handling and Client Portal performance. Everything below is live from after 8pm on 1 October 2026. If you have any questions, our support team is happy to help.

Real-time updates across Client Portal sessions
Working simultaneously on the same employer in the Client Portal is now a smoother experience. Employee requests, payroll entries, approval status, and finalised payslips all sync live across open sessions and tabs, so changes made by one user are immediately visible to others — no more manual refreshing or risk of missing an update. Improvements & Fixes
Bulk document downloads now support your full workforce
You can now download payslips and other employee documents for all employees in a single request. The previous limit of 100 employees per download has been removed.

Client Portal correctly displays all pay schedules
Employers with multiple pay schedules running in the same period will now see all employees and all schedules in the Client Portal. Pay schedule names also now display correctly when selecting a schedule in reports, rather than showing only the schedule type.

Payroll entry requests and approval now work correctly
Payroll entry requests are now visible in the Client Portal for both bureau and employer users. The payroll approval workflow now completes successfully.

Employee onboarding can now be submitted to the bureau
The "Submit to Bureau" and "Update and Close" buttons in the employee onboarding wizard now respond correctly, allowing completed onboardings to be submitted for bureau review.

Adding a new employee to BrightPay Cloud via the onboarding process now completes without error.

Documents made available on the final day of a period's date range are now included when viewing or filtering documents in the Client Portal.

When sending Employee Portal sign-up instructions from the Client Portal, any delivery failures are now shown as an error rather than a success message, so you can take action if an invitation has not reached an employee.

PRSI class correctly applied for state pension age employees in receipt of state pension before age 70
Employees who are at state pension age and ticked as being in receipt of state pension before age 70 are now correctly assigned PRSI class J. BrightPay Cloud Ireland will no longer suggest class A for these employees.

The Client Portal now loads more quickly for employers who were experiencing slower startup times.

Expense submission counts in the payroll screen now update correctly when a submission spans more than one batch.

Approved annual leave is retained when an employee's working pattern changes
Approved annual leave requests in Employee Self Service are no longer discarded when an employee's working day pattern is updated before the leave is taken.
