BrightPay does not have a built-in budget or forecast report. It is not possible to project future payroll costs without first finalising the payslips for those periods.
To produce a full-year payroll cost report, you would need to:
- Finalise all pay periods for the tax year
- Run the required Analysis reports
- Reopen payslips back to the current period once done
If you are concerned about employees receiving payslip notification emails while doing this, you can temporarily disable the Employee Portal before you begin:
- Go to Employer > Employee Portal
- Disable the portal
- Finalise the pay periods and run your reports
- Reopen the current period payslips (this will reopen any subsequent finalised payslips)
- Re-enable the portal when finished
With the portal disabled, employees will not receive any notifications or be able to access payslips during that time. Once you re-enable it, access is restored as normal.
