When using BrightPay Cloud, data is automatically backed up, and manual backup is not supported.
This automation helps ensure data security, though users who prefer managing their own backups might need some time to adjust to this change.
Currently, the software does not support localized storage or manual backup options, and data remains accessible exclusively via the cloud-based platform once you sign in to your account.
Note: There is no option to 'backup' the data physically yourself. If you need hard copies or to transfer employee data to another user, you can export employee information to a csv file or send reports such as the Payroll Summary.
To export the employer / employee information to a csv file, go to Employees section > Import / Export > Export employees to a csv file. BrightPay will default basic information such as name, address, NINO etc but you can choose which fields to include in the export, ie YTD payroll figures.
Reports can be printed / exported / emailed from BrightPay. You can password protect the export / email if required.
